Manstore leaves behind the cramped horizon of the classical “men’s underwear”. Even the word “underwear” causes for sure tired smile with customers and sellers of extravagant collections. The word “underwear” can just be accepted, but “provocative outfit” is the best explanation.
Hard to believe, but in 1983 in Amsterdam the world’s first underwear store for men opened – the Manstore. In the same year Hans Schöller founded the label with the same name and had great success. A proper boom of opening Manstores developed.
In 1995 the stylist Alfons Kreuzer took over the label and presented the first collection in Paris. In 2002 the Premium Bodywear AG in Chemnitz took over the brand rights. The internationalization of the brand was intensified.
